The NESCO FD-75A Snackmaster Pro Food Dehydrator is one of the best dehydrators on the market for good reason!
It is currently a bestseller on Amazon with more than 3900 reviews and it still retains a 4+ star rating.
The powerful top loaded fan uses a unique Converga-Flow convection system that evenly distributes the heated air throughout the container. For a visual description, see the image below.
It’s thermostat allows you to get that ideal temperature range in order to dry different types of food for maximum effectiveness. The expandable trays let you add your own amount of food into the container without sacrificing temperature and useless space. If you have a lot of food to dehydrate, you can expand the container up to an astonishing 12 trays!
The trays itself block harmful light during the dehydration process, ensuring you get a healthy dried product. The extra accessories (Fruit Roll Sheets & Clean-A-Screen Flexible Screens), allows you to dehydrate multiple products and liquids. If there are not enough trays, you can simply add more trays to your basket in Amazon.
You also receive 3 unique jerky spice packets with the dehydrator to create your own tasty jerky!
To sum up, the NESCO FD-75A Snackmaster Pro Food Dehydrator offers a simplified dehydrating without the hassle of traditional methods. You also get evenly distributed heat all over with adjustable temperature for every unique product you’d like to create.
No, you do not lose a lot of nutrients when dehydrating food. But, the higher your heat during dehydration, the more nutrients you lose.
Yes, Herbs and Spices can be dehydrated. It avoids mold growth that usually comes with traditional drying metohds.
Do not store it for longer than a year. You can even vacuum pack or freeze it to improve shelf life. With herbs and spices, whole pieces last longer than ground pieces.
My final verdict is that the NESCO FD-75A Snackmaster Pro Food Dehydrator is an excellent choice from the range of dehydrators on the current market. It offers great features that can be found in higher end products but with a more affordable price.
The only thing that I am concerned about is that it is made out of plastic, but I cannot deny that its othre features makes up for its viability for everyday household use.
